CARBONDALE, REDSTONE, AND MARBLE
The Crystal River Valley has a way of enthralling people, capturing their hearts with its rich history, rugged terrain and picturesque enclaves. The Crystal River itself is undamned and under consideration for designation as a Wild & Scenic River. Due to the drop in elevation and narrow canyon, the Crystal is a difficult but rewarding river to fish.
Crystal River Valley Market Information
Our Market Analysis
Carbondale has witnessed a tremendous surge in both real estate sales and volume in 2013. Almost overnight, the sub-600k range has turned into a seller’s market and the higher priced properties have started to move. Inventory is down and the market rebound left distressed homeowners the much needed equity to hold on. We are extremely bullish on the Carbondale market and its surroundings.
Unfortunately, while the Carbondale market experienced a surge in real estate sales in 2013, properties in the Crystal Valley never really popped. A large inventory still exists from Marble all the way down to Carbondale. This buyers market has left some great deals for the savvy investor/buyer.
Redstone, Marble and the rest of Crystal Valley has a unique and rugged character. Groceries are limited to the small general store in Redstone. There a few seasonal dining options in Redstone, such as the Redstone Inn or the amazing Slow Groovin’ BBQ in Marble. High speed internet and cell phone coverage are not an option in the Crystal Valley. What it lacks in services it makes up for in history, near spiritual views and a counter-option to the Aspen area.
No high speed internet. No cell phone coverage. Septic. Well water. Snow plowed driveways. Great hunting options Great fishing. Great access to the West Elks, The Rubies and the Gunnison River.
Seasonal and festive. Whether from hunters, art gallery walkers or kayakers, downtown Redstone has quiet but at least existent “nightlife.” When winter hits its all quiet on the western front, except for the week around Christmas.
